Lawrence Greer chose Detroit. Its classrooms, its students, and its pressure became the arena where he stopped observing and started becoming. Over five years across four Title I schools, he worked with 1,000+ students in grades 6 through 12.

 

What he built in those rooms, he built for himself first. The framework did not come from research. It came from doing the work in real time so he could show up for his students in a way they deserved.
